National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund | Planned Giving

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund is committed to sharing the experiences of American Law Enforcement Officers and promoting their safety. We accomplish this feat through three pillars.

Honoring Fallen Law Enforcement Officers. The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial is dedicated to those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty . The names of fallen officers are added each spring and dedicated during our annual Candlelight Vigil held every May 13th amid National Police Week.

Telling Their Stories. The Hall of Remembrance in the National Law Enforcement Museum features the names and photographs of the officers added to the memorial each year. Visitors can explore the museum’s exhibits and view artifacts that share the history of law enforcement from its inception to the present.

Making It Safer for Those Who Serve. We host a national database of programs that promote officer safety and wellness. Additionally the Memorial Fund maintains and publishes comprehensive details on the circumstances surrounding official line-of-duty deaths and our staff use that data, coupled with best-practice program models, to produce programming directed at solutions to improve survivability and enhance wellness.

Thanks to the friends like you, we can continue honoring the individuals who risk (and lose) their lives protecting others. Here are some creative ways you can partner with us to maintain this tradition:

  • Support the Memorial Fund through plans that first allow you to provide financial security for yourself and your loved ones.
  • Make gifts in ways that can provide additional income in retirement years or to help fund educational expenses as well as other needs.
  • Designate your gift to honor or memorialize someone special to you.
  • Enjoy giving more, in ways you may not have thought possible, knowing that you are efficiently assisting the Memorial Fund.

Hopefully this information will help you plan and optimize your giving to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, while preserving your financial security.
